These wonderfully wonky TV caption cards are both taken from the BBC’s 1964 General Election coverage which some kind soul had uploaded to YouTube. In fact there’s hours and hours of it - a full 12 hours of through-the-night results and punditry where the 1970 election is concerned. Quite an education in evolving styles to dip from one to another, from the 1950s to the 1980s.
