I love that the Nobel people have now opened up the Literature prize to songwriting now (though they’d earlier neglected to recognise Doris Lessing’s ‘The Golden Album’ of experimental beatboxing, or Harold Pinter’s habit of putting a tribute to John Cage’s 4'33" in each of his plays). Maybe there needs to be a Nobel Prize for Music?
