Went to see the Frank Auerbach show at Tate Britain today. If you go, take an hour or so to go round it. The paintings look simple (bedside table de Koonings, in a way), but they contain a lot. This is one of my favourites. Colour and drawing describing space, which is a difficult trick to pull off.
