Started out as an attempt to use my old conté crayon technique but with pencil, which didn’t work (it never did - difficult to be mega-bold with an HB) and then pushed to see if Fresco can still make something look engaging when one adds Too Much. We’re having some building work done to the Standard Designs Mansion, and on a quick gyrocopter survey of the site today it struck me how much of the area resembles ‘80s art music album covers, especially of the Vaughan Oliver/4AD/23 Envelope variety. So I dismissed the builders for the day (Sutherland and Caro Ltd - very dependable, and the portaloo hardly ever needs a saniclean) and knocked this up on the iPad in a minute or two.
